About Chris
Savannah raised me and Dutch Island is where I'm raising my girls. This work has never been about transactions for me. It's about serving people well through one of the biggest decisions of their lives with the honesty I'd want if the roles were reversed.
I'm raising two daughters on Dutch Island. Most weekends involve a boat ramp or a soccer field or both. I am also a coach at OrangeTheory Fitness. Health and wellness are crucial pillars in my life. Along those lines Sundays usually find us serving together at our church. If you want to know what kind of agent that makes me: I show up early. I don't disappear after closing. I'll tell you the truth about a property even when it's not what you want to hear.
Before real estate I spent years in sales management building teams around a simple idea: relationships over transactions. We prioritized the client's experience. We led with a servant's heart. We cared about people whether or not it closed a deal that month. I still work that way. It's the same heart that has me serving at CBC today, showing up for people because it's who I am and not because there's a deal on the line. When you hire me my interests are genuinely aligned with yours. That's not a slogan. It's the only way I know how to do this.
My entry into real estate came as an investor. I bought a house intended to be an Airbnb. We got a great deal. We staged it and set it up ready to host. Then the HOA's rental restrictions surfaced and we had to sell. We called it the accidental flip on purpose. We walked away with a large profit and rolled it into two more short-term rentals. That deal taught me more about value and risk than any course ever could. It also taught me to read the fine print. It's also where I got comfortable with creative finance: structuring terms that make a deal actually work when the conventional route doesn't.
Most agents sell you a home. I've also been the person on the other side of the closing table doing the math on cash flow and rehab costs. I know what a property is actually worth versus what the listing photos want you to believe. That's the lens I bring to every deal now whether you're buying your first house or asking me to run the numbers on a rental.
It also means I'm honest about downside. If a property doesn't pencil out or a neighborhood isn't right for what you're trying to do I'll tell you before you fall in love with it. Not after you've made an offer.
Buying, selling or just weighing whether now's the right time? I'll give you a straight answer. Fifteen minutes is usually enough to get oriented.
